Ed I lossen everything then put a little bondo squeege, trimmed to the right size, in the lower part of the door then adjust the top.................it's still tricky by yourself. Recently I had the left front fender off and when I bolted it back on the gap was changed.....not enough to care on a race car but for a street car I'd be adjusting it again.

my apologies for no pic's, the camera got left in Bellingham on sunday (90 miles away), I'll get some up as soon as I can.

There seems to be some adjustment on the door side of the ihnges as well, those holes are ovals on the top hinge, the bottom hinge holes are just round but larger in dia. then the bolt allowing for some movement but these hinges have smaller holes then the originals I took off thats why I was thinking about taking them to the drill press.

So David, when ya commin over to hang some doors????

I have to admit installing doors by yourself is a pain in the a** & a 2nd set of hands would be very helpful.

Naw, do not bore the holes. They already have adjustment built in.

It is frustatingly tricky to get them aligned. Just keep working at it. Expanded holes will not help, as you have not moved the position yet...

You can loosen all the bolts and tighten one bottom one a little ways. This will let you shift the position, then semi-tighten it. Repeat for top.

Oh, yes -- in case others reading this don't know -- it is the body bolts that are loosened to adjust the door. Not the door bolts.

Note that the bolts only take 12 lb. ft. torque, which is not a lot.

I put the doors back on the coupe after the filler/epoxy were sprayed & new factory hinges were installed. Then I hung the fenders & started to try & line things up, not as easy as I thought it'd be & frustrating to say the least

I've got issues with the bottom of one door protruding out too far & the other door the being in too far at the top & that fender gap not right. Both doors line up with the rockers pretty well & if I remember right these are the same doors I took off the car.

I'm just wondering if any of you have some adjustment tricks I could try, I've been fiddling with the hinges & also wondering if I should bore the hinge holes a bit more out to create some more adjustment.

Any thoughts / idea's & experiences appreciated!
Thanks, Evan
