I know the fj20 didn't come in the 120y's therefor the chassis number for the 120y is pointless, sorry my mistake. Im putting a fj20 motor into a 120y. Where on the motor would the engine number be.

I'm guessing the long way around this is to go to the DOT or someone and run a check on the engine number to see if was in a registered Iron Mask R30 or whatever.

The shop wants to know which car the engine orignally came out of. If you do not know, don't guess.

Maybe you can just send them photo of the original gasket which you are trying to replace.

I am currently building a 120y with fj20 motor. Where can the chassis number and build date be located. I have taken over the project, it was my mates, but he passed away, so i want to get car on road in memory of my friend. The reason i'm asking about chassis number, i emailed a performance shop about a gasket kit and they need to know the chassis number and build date. Thanks guys
