I'm sure the honda seats are a bit thicker than the original datsun seats, so you would loose a bit of room. Hopefully you can do the measurements yourself. I'm actually running a pair of american Scat racing seats in mine which fit well (but there hard to come by in Australia).

As for freight on the ebay ones I'm sure it would still end up hundreds cheaper than you retrim quote. Try Vicfast Couriers in Melbourne, they're pretty cheap usually.
Good luck....Cadet1200

Do you know if the Honda or Mazda seats are much more bulkier than standard seats as i cant afford to sacrifice too much cabin space as i'm almost 6ft tall. Not really interested in racing seats. thanks.

The most common seats I've seen used are Honda Prelude ones. Have also seen MX5 and RX7.

If your after an aftermarket racing seat, I remember one of the members fitted some Tenzo racing seats and said they where almost a bolt in proposition..I believe they are quite a small seat. Oh. I just noticed a set of black reupholstered ute seats on ebay ATM...could be the easiest solution.

I got a quote reupholster seats in my 1200 ute $1300.00 .Any one know what late model car bucket seats would suit as replacements. I could use original tracks and maybe modify new seat base . any ideas please?
