What did I see besides the tarted up blue coupe, the Z next to it and the 2 coupes in the corner..............a state of the art Formula Vee, and it's a chassis I'm not sure of. I've owned a Beach Mk V, driven a Formcar, Autodynamics, Sharland & D-13 but that one I had a hard time with..........Lynx/ Citation maybe???

On another trivia note back in the late 80's our friend took his Arial Red Hunter to Westwood (another local took his Parilla) , anyone those two guys show up looking like something out of a bad biker flick, one on a Sportster the other on a Bonneville Chopper. Ye Ole chopper was a hard tell with a springer front end.
Sid goes out in the first practice session (Sid was State Open Class MX champ before he took up road racing) , he come ups on the Sportster pretty quick, the guy went well but nothing to brag about............after a couple of laps he figures the Chopper isn't on the track.............a few corners later he comes up on the guy skating his chopper through the turns in a really alarming manner.............thinking the guy is going to crash at any moment Sid hangs back. After a full lap it became really obvious that Mr Chopper could ride his arse off. I don't remember where the guy finished but I just remember Sid's tale of this guy two wheel drifting his chopper. Sid did manage to mention that Westwood was a fun place.

The original photo is riddled with clues & I followed one path, even driving the length of Yale Rd [via Google maps] looking for it. I went right past it & didn't pick it.

Benny persued another path & came up with the right answers before I did.
This could be a fun game.

EDIT
If you look carefully, you can see the top 10% of the BFGoodrich tyre sign above the roof of the building next door. [Look straight up from the racercar's drivers seat]
That tyre store is still there trading as Fraser Valley Tireland & still selling BFGoodrich tyres.

haha, benny has discovered it all. I noticed the KFC is still there too.

This is very close to where the Olympics are next month.
But even closer to the famous Westwood race track which is no longer:

Yeah Yeah, we know this place.

Benny rang me to discuss this picture & it didn't take him long to figure out that it is the showroom of Chilliwack Datsun Ltd located at 45839 Yale Road West, Chilliwack, BC [British Columbia] Canada‎. [Google-map it]

Not far from your place David.

It is now Campus Auto.
The Minos Piza place next door is still there but is now Minos Family Restaurant & another building has been built in between the two.
The Esso service station is now gone & has been replaced by a Community Employment Resource Centre.

There are many more cool 1970's images of Datsuns available in the photobucket that this one came from, but for privacy reasons I will let you find it for yourselves.

Thanks to Benny, the computer whiz.

This photo is looking back into the showroom at roughly the same angle as the other one is looking out.

Yellow one might be a 610.

One of the coupes has a blackout tail panel.
