My coupe has an auto & I love it.
It has all the acceleration of a crippled slug but it is great in traffic where speeds are generally low & locking it in second gives it quite a bit of pep in the feeder roads & back roads of suburbia.

Highway driving leaves a little to be desired but with an A14 or A15 in front it will be good.

A diff ratio of 3.9 to 1 or higher will be an advantage.

I just completed a 900 mile [1450K approx] trip through Victoria in my coupe over an 8 day period & the trans [& car] performed faultlessly.
To drive an auto you just point & press. Mmmmmm, smooooth.

P.S. My 1000 coupe will run a souped up A13 with close ratio [option 1] 5 speed manual trans.
Hey, I'm not a total dullard.

B210 has one tunnel size.
B110 has two tunnel size.

It will definitely be worth it to learn to drive a manual.

Manual: More power, faster accelerating, better fuel economy

Automatic: Freedom from shifting.
