Nissan has the gasket.

As I recall, no one in this club suggested the spacer until we saw that Pitroad sold one for this purpose. Other guys had just been using the H150 in H145 housing without a spacer.

thanks guys, the rearend in question is from a 1980 210 which is the H150 - I just want to swap it into the H145 housing before it goes back into the car with the A15.

Too bad the wheel wont fit properly, its kind of a nice wheel. BTW - can you still buy the actual gasket aftermarket or from Nissan, anyone know where to get one? I could use it as a template for the 2MM spacer.

This is quite true but I thought the question revolved around the [US model] 210, not the B210

This too is completely true, but of course doesn't apply to the front[?] diff.
The 5mm larger ring gear apparently has its centerline 2.5mm further back from the gasket face so in order to maintain perfect alignment popular wisdom says to install a gasket, then a 2mm spacer & a second gasket [which measures .5mm] in order to space the differential forward in the H145 housing.
The axles use the same spline so re-installing your 1200 axles & brakes will complete the process.

The B310 rear axle assembly is wider & uses a completely different suspension system in the passenger models, so it is not directly interchangeable.
I think that the Wagon uses a leaf spring suspension but the width still rules it out.

B210 steering wheel will swap straight across with the 1200.
B210 H150 rear diff complete will swap across with a 1200 H145 diff but you will need the B210 drive shaft. The 4 bolt pattern on the H145 center is different than the H150. The 4 bolt wheel drum plates are the same pattern on the H145, H150, H165 and H190. When I tear the H190 apart, I will have all of these axles side by side for a group photo.

B10, B110 & B210 models used a small diameter steering column that was unique to these models.

The B310 [US Model 210] adopted the larger diameter shaft that was common to all of the L series poewred cars, so it can be seen that the steering wheel from a B310 model will not work on the earlier models without some sort of adapter.

As I have been told, and I have not done it myself, you only need to swap the pumpkin center. Theoretically it is best to have the 2mm spacer.

About the steering wheel, here is what is documented:

I thought we we'd spoke you mentioned I needed the axles as well as the center to swap, so its just the pumpkin, 2 mm spacer & the splines on the 145 axles fit the 150 center. correct?

your answer of no was to the steering wheel?

Nope not the same.

Swapping the axles isn't mentioned in the wiki because it is not needed. And because you cannot do it.

will a stock steering wheel from a 1980 210 fit a 1200 steer shaft splines? Also, when swapping the rearend center, H150 into the H145 housing aside from the 2MM shim I assume I need the axles & backing plates as well, are the wheel bearings on the axles & the seals in the axle housing the same as the 1200 ?

I went a to a great deal of trouble finding axle bearings for the H145 axles & it'd be nice if they swapped directly into the H150 center - anyone have a specific ABC plan for this type of swap? I know its covered a bit in the wiki but it didn't seemed to answer these questions unless I missed it.

Thanks ,Evan
