I didn't ask for any repairs to the panel. I put it back on the day before didn't put a few bots back in, so it just flexed out when it hit the ground, rather then crumpling it. Kinda glad I never finished up. I told them I had a $30 rotor on it, so they gave me $30 so I could replace it myself since they would have to order it. Jokes on them, it was an $8 from Advanced Auto ;)

Yeah, thats why I took it back to them. They said the bearings were okay when they pulled the hub. The re-greased them and everything. I'm just hoping now it's all put together okay, because I don't want to deal with this crap again.

Seems that all the noise is from warped rotor on the pads so I'm replacing both both tomorrow morning.

Did that workshop do the lugs originally? he should be quite unimpressed cos what if the front end dug in and you did a movie flip! hopefully that brake noise after the rotor is put on is just the dust shield on the back, not cracked pads or messed up bearings for something nasty

Well, I gotta get it home and replace the rotor and tie-rod ends before I do too much driving :P Theres a lot of noise coming from the brakes now. I am pretty satisfied by the shops work. The manager is working on it himself right now. Doesn't seem to happy with some of his employees though.

So the short version of this morning's story is I got it over to the shop, and the shop owner comes out and puts it on a lift and pulls off all 4 tires. He's agreed to replace all the studs himself. He said the studs on the front were not pressed in all the way and what probably happened is that they slid moved around as it was driven and the lugs loosened? I think that's how he put it.
He's replacing the hub as well as the bearing cap and refunding me the cost of my rotor, since it's damaged as a result of it hitting the ground.
