Why is double valve springs being suggested - surely stronger single ones would do?

Even my circa '79 A12 will rev to 8000 on bike carbs and extractors using stock springs - not many street-able cam grinds would need rpm capabilities higher than that surely?!

Hi, Have you or a friend got a welder and/or any good at it?
With a weekend and about $50.00 worth of 1 inch ID steam pipe bends you could make a pretty sweet turbo manifold set up for your A14.

Is your turbo fitted with a carbon seal (can it be converted?) if so you could make a very simple draw through turbo setup, I have run a draw through turbo setup on my A15 for 10 years plus (30+psi boost)and found it to be both economical and very reliable.

On the other hand you could go for a blow through setup (if your turbo is not fitted with a carbon seal) however this type of setup is a little more tricky to get setup and get running properly.

A turbo charged A-series is a beautiful thing and make buckets of torque all on standard internals, just don`t rev the piss out of them (6000rpm+)

Somthing to think about anyway.

Cheers,

G O T H E D A T!!

is stick with the a14 head.. just put double valve springs in it a bigger cam and get the carbys to suit the cam you run. headers will make a bit of an improvement aswell and weekend_1000 sells electronic distributors aswell pretty cheaply on here his name is mal
