You can also do teflon coating as on pistons for an alternative?
That way it builds on the surface rather than taking away from it.

We have used this place in Carrum Downs (melbourne), have had diff gears, CV's etc done and they come up great. As good as Smith and Wesson or Superfinishing. Reasonable price and quick turnaround.

Dean there was a member here called Don AKA Revhead001 and I'm pretty sure they did this at his work. He was based in Melbourne, I have his email address somewhere if you'd like to ask him.

I can't be absolutely sure but I think he worked for Hollinger Engineering - Race Car Gearbox Manufacturers.

The other person to ask would be Simon- AKA Topgear who also builds performance gearboxes here in Adelaide. I can put you in contact with him or you can send him a PM but he doesn't get on here very often.

Anyone had anything put though the ISF process? Just read an article where a fella did his R1 internals and gave it a big thumbs up. Reckoned it just made everything that much smoother etc.

Had a quick Google and can only find two places in Aus that do it. Would expect it to provide most benefit to a high RPM race motor, will be something to keep in mind when I get to building mine.
