while i was working on my car, i had the carb off the inlet and the fuel line just hanging over the inlet
a dumb friend of mine said fire her up i want to see what happens, while me trying to convince him it wont fire up, it will just stall
i cranked the engine and ended up with a huge fire out of the inlet with the motor revs at the limit and no way to turn the engine off
No way to stop the engine? What happened?
Your mate, who had been within arms reach of the ignition so he could fire it up ran away & left you with it?
He locked the keys in the car & nobody could reach the ignition switch?
The ignition switch jammed in the ON position & wouldn't turn off?
There was a short in the ignition circuit & the ignition was permanantly ON?
Everybody was dumbstruck to the point of being imobilised?
How did it end?
Did the engine self destruct as it was reving "at the limit" & there was
NO WAY you could stop it, or did the car catch fire & burn to the ground
Somehow I think there is a bit more to the story than this
