Yeah not sure. But some tyres just won't take the paint, it's in their composition.

Any whitewaller, is taking a pretty big chance when he does a job, sometimes it all goes horribly wrong. It's a bit harsh to bag them about it if it's simply paint-to-surface incompatibility.

If you're up for it, try another brand of rubber. Or better yet ask the whitewaller for his recommendation.

The green tinge and peeling may actually be a result of new tires. The chemicals/compounds from manufacture are still strong on the rubber, typically reacting with the oil based paint that you apply to it.

Buy your tires before you need them. Leave them in the sun in the back yard, turn them over every now and then let them age and bake a little.

Or run them in for a couple of months and then get them white-walled. Or buy old tires with good tread.

My tires are ancient and the white is still as clean and uniform as when they were first applied.

Were your tires new?

i have had my white walls done by redvan and they went green in 2 weeks so i thought ild get redwalls because its darker and wouldnt be so hard to keep clean but the red started to crack and peel after 3 weeks would not recommend getting them done by this place. its happened to a few mates aswell the same problem
