for the price of that i would go for the ebay one cos there is about 200-300 bucks worth of fittings and line and then the price of the tank ,but i thought that surge tanks were suposed to be realy tall and skinny?

Before you go down the ebay path, I would look at getting one made. It will fit heaps better and look neat. You can chose where to run lines in and out of the surge tank. You can run metal fuel lines up to your engine bay and you will only need 1 meter of fuel line. You dont need to run braid, i used a blue high pressure fuel line and briad for turbo lines only on exhuast side and it looks very neat.

Price it all up and if its only $100 or so more go with the custom job.

yes that is also on my mind... it advertises the kit for supras so im guessing it would have to be some kind of decent quality... but then it is ebay and they can be dodgy crunts.

it seems like a good price to me, the braid would cost more than half of it. I wonder about to quality.

i bought the drop tank 2nd hand so i have no choice but to go down this path and the expense i saved with the drop tank and buying this stuff is still cheaper then having a drop tank made up, im not lucky enough to be in the industry to make one myself.

you could have built in a surge pot / pickup into your drop tank when it was built and saved yourself all this extra expense and grief

yeah for the ute mate, i have a 50Lt alloy drop tank and need surge tank and all the fittings and fuel line to reach the motor. there is heaps of surge tanks on ebay and the like reasonably cheap but then buying all the other stuff is going to be costly so i was wondering would $400 be an unreasonable price for 2Lt surge tank, all fittings and 5m of braided line?

Is this for your ute?
