Those look nice. They are A14T carbs by the looks of the 4-bolt flanges. Just right for a street A14/A15.

Yeah okay, I started those at 99cents and they sold for way more than that.

I also sold an A15 crate motor at the same time starting at 99cents. But that was sold to a Morris lad in VIC. I recall those carbs on a black motor but yeah, they were sold later on ebay again.

But I'm pretty sure these changed hands a few times before you got them and I reckon the second time they sold on ebay (to you) they went for a pretty good price, compared to what the first person bought them for (from me).

References? This site is loaded with information, keep your search terminology fairly well specified to yield the best results and you'll find exactly what you want.

I suggest you refer to topgears turbo build just for interest sake but don't copy it. There are about ten topgear remakes in the making already! But people seem to overlook the fact that although his costs were super low he spent a lot of quality time on the rolling road tweaking and testing, which (if you read through his updates - or ask him) was where most of the big power was developed. I guess it helps to have a friend with a rolling road too.

Tuning makes great power too. Not just top shelf expensive go fast bits.

Hi,

Chris got the carbs off ebay a while back .. paid top $$$ but they are in good condition.
Looking forward to seeing it run..
The engine was black before..came from a vanette..had a round port head that I swapped out for a H89 oval port.
Not mush chance of me selling these as yet ... I have 2 A14s that are a little thirsty also

Ha! Those are my old carbs, they've traveled all over Australia now. Great clean setup they are, and in awesome condition. Good to see them around again.

Out of interest was this engine black before?

If you want to give a turbo setup a go, draw through would be easier. But I guess it's up to you. You can intercool with blow through though.

It's a bit hard to tell about the cam without knowing manufacturer or the specs, maybe google the grind code and see what comes up?

Either way if you want to sell those carbs to fund the turbo project let me know!

I have recently bought an A12 and in the boxes of crap were a Turbo manifold and a cam with a 113T re-grind.
I have been told this is to suit a turbo application. Is this correct????
I am waiting on a small Garrett turbo to turn up and thought I would give a weber blow through system a go.
You can see the manifold and cam with grind tag attached...

My A15 is just about ready to blow out the cobwebs...also pictured...
