Im thinking if I get that stocky from Gav I can go into my motorbike haunts
and get the best affordable billet coil over setup. I bought some from Thailand
a few years ago from a Honda cruiser replacement and are seriously strong and well
built for $50 a pair. It went into a lotus caterham copy functioning perfectly.
Will try to find some pics.

Would you be able to measure the diameter of your setup pigdog? The shock and the spring Id. I was just talkin to the guys from minisport and they don't even have a spec sheet they just go off the comprssed and extended lengths so the only thing I'd be worried about Is the diameter

The sizes would be as LJ has mentioned for the qa1 setup

shock -
10.75in extended
7.9in collapsed

spring -
8in long
1.875in diameter
150lb rated

this is the Jp setup

However looking at this site they could prob get it for 100aud cheaper
Maybe I should get Gav to go there with his spare shock? as it could be closer to him?

for gaz stuff contact the guy at Corby motorsports. he sends stuff to australia a fair bit and was really helpful when i was talking to him

what measurements do you need? i can measure my ones for you.
but yeah like i was saying, the downside with gaz is that their product information is crap

thats them d. comparing those prices to the rrp on the qa1 site summit is a bit expensive, my mate gets it a bit cheaper than whats on the qa1 site he reckons. im not sure about postage i'd have to get one and weight it i couldn't see it costing more than 100 the coilovers weight jack #OOPS#

if you get onto gaz let me know what you come up with, only reason i haven't chased them up is because i can get the american stuff alot easier incase i need stiffer springs or shocks

Lethal J where did you get the best price?

Id love to get the cheaper qa1 over the Gaz
because one day I want some Konis because they
always made my previous cars handle beyond my
expectations and my friends also.

well i figured i could probably wind the coilover up a bit, i've got to order a few different springs to see what works and test it out. im getting these reasonably cheap im mainly concerned with mounting them and making sure they fit

i saw that list, the thing with the gaz shocks is i couldn't find specs on them like the shock body size, if they come in different sizes etc etc

here's the part no. of the qa1 setup
shock - 82 series no.8234 10.75in extended 7.9in collapsed
spring - no.8sm150 8in long 1.875in diameter l50lb rated
coilover kit - ck8201
