Ford 5-liter fits in pretty easy. You can fit nearly any engine in there.

a14 or a15 easiest, other wise L series os doable. try get one with an auto tunnel already, easier for conversion later on.

also update where you are. some cars are for sale round australia, some also not in the classifieds

Welcome alexn, you can put almost any engine in a 1200 depending on your budget.
Have you looked at the Tech Wiki yet? That would be the best place for info.
