haha im halfway through a SR conversion i know its not gunna be a weekend thing lol

im just thinking if i can get a motor here a box there and just collect bits and pieces cheaply over the next 6 months ill be able to transform my daily driver into an injected twin cam cruise machine.

id be very interested in an E15 but then ill have the same trouble finding a decent 5 speed.

agree

it's not much cheaper to fit a ca18de than a ca18det... and neither is a cheap exercise!!

if you plan on keeping it long term then by all means, but if you think this is a "$400 motor & box and a weekend" type conversion you've got another thing comin'

Hi mate
You should be able to get a 60 series 5 speed in the car for under a thousand dollars.

I very much doubt a CA conversion could be done for anything like that figure.

Spend a couple of hours researching the conversion on the net and write a list of all the little things that need doing. Believe me they add up really quickly. If it's a long term project this isn't such a drama but when it's your daily car you need to approach it knowing all of the facts.

Feel free to shoot me an email if you would like a run down on the conversion and associated costs.

Regards Matty

been thinking of 5 speed upgrades for the daily 1200 and it would probably be cheaper to do an engine conversion then source an A series 5 speed and have it rebuilt, so if there is any CA18DE's sitting around in your sheds gathering dust please feel free to let me know with a PM.
