For racing the 45s are a good bet. Kelfords are dead right on the chokes . Their cam profiles are some of the best available for Dattos and their advice is solid. You can get
excellent flow and HP through 40s as well but it takes more work. Even a race A series 1298 will happily run on 45s.

I have to disagree, use the larger carbs, jet them correctly for the motor that you are using. you will get better performance and better gas milage if you choose to drive
for milage. the motor can be brought up as you go along. If you can get the larger carbs, by all means, go for it.

I'm no expert but I'd go straight to the DCOEs. I ran 2 40mm DHLA Dellortos on a A15 with headers and a ported head. Everything else was standard. It went very well.

Over here 120Y SSS came with these carbs from the factory on an A12 with a mild cam. They are awesome little cars.

I'd like to hear from people that have tried using 45s. Many 1298cc race cars over here use 45mm carbs. I want to try some 45s on my 1568cc A15 so any feedback from people who have
done it will be welcome!

The cam shop (Kelford Camtech for the kiwis) said to use 45s with 32 or 34mm chokes. Sound right?

More is not always better. I would stick with the single 32/36 untill you upgrade your motor to use more flow. You will need to make your own manifold for
2 32/36 carbs.

I have this question. In a stock A15 engine with a header exhaust,2 DCOE would be too much, one DCOE would be fine(I think),but since I already have one DGEV,would another DGEV
work fine (2 dgev)and is there a manifold for such application?
Or should I shoot straight for the DCOE? The DGEV is a 32-36 weber.
Later on I am planning to get a GX head,a cam ,headers extractors and at that point then one or two DCOE will become mandatory.
Need some opinions.
Good day
