ah ok, yeh all the engineer has said is that the brakes will have to be boosted if he was to pass it. Ive done some research aboy just running one booster, but because it will be running 4 wheel disks it wont be very efficient and will tend to lock the front up.. unless there is a way to balance the system

Many a modded car has been engineered with a remote booster [VH44 or variant of] with no requirement to have the rears vacuum assisted aswell. From your statement above, is this what the engineer advised you?

i have also looked into this too, but i will need 2 apparently to run front and rear. not cheap at around 400 a pop.. and running the lines etc, mounting them somewhere. Thats why i wanna rego it without one if i can haha

Hey all, im in the talks with a few engineers about the brake setup on my 1200, basically i cant run a normal type vacuum booster because the plenum will foul on it. The engineers down here (the whole 2 of them!) dont feel confident in passing it without a booster.

So i was wondering if anyone that has some contacts of engineers that you have used and were happy with, i dont want a dodgy one by any means. just someone that is reasonable and good to deal with. obviously i can get the numbers from the RTA site but would rather datto owners suggestions!

cheers Wardy
