Yeah well they aren't easy to find and like you said if you get it the hard way it's a lot of stuffing around.

Hey Chris,i have a fellow 1200 competitor up here who builds gearboxes and diffs for a living and also has the short ratio in his car(as do i)and he reckons there worth $500.00 if you can lay your hands on one.
My solution was to buy a complete 1200cc Vanette which i got for $300.00 i was lucky as there thin on the ground in these parts and had to travel 2 hours each way for it,it had some other useful stuff on it,then off to Sims metal where i got $110.00 for the bones.
Not a bad result in the end but a lot of stuffing around.

ive got 3 h165 4.1 centres if you want them...

I haven't seen a 4.6 [or a 4.3:1 for that matter] for a very long time. Probably more chance getting your hands on a 4.875:1 The 4.11:l should be pretty straight forward though.
