The gasket has much smaller ports than the head and the manifold.
Its all over the place, should have got them match ported and then matched up the gasket, but was in a rush and forgot about it.
Going to try and hunt down a gasket today otherwise i might just get some brass plugs to chuck in them.
And the manifold covers the holes yes, so the right gasket wouldn't leak.

Yeah i was thinking that i would need to weld or plug it as a last resort, so i'll get the mrs to try to hunt down a gasket tomorrow that will work, otherwise bpro it is.

Chris the ports look to be round in shape but they are actually very molested and enlarged and were once oval by the looks, also being the H89 head they should have been. (the head says H89I)

Normally you tap a and plug the holes with little brass slugs. You can get these from any automotive store.

Whoa! round ports!

Hey guys just a quick question, i've gone to put my head back on and realised that there are water channels that go to the inlet manifold to cool it (which is useless cos i have aftermarket manifold so doesnt matter if theyre blocked), and the oval port manifold gasket i have doesn't surround these holes, it cuts up above them.
This means that it will leak if i use this gasket, so what i'm asking is there a oval port manifold gasket in the market to suit these inlet manifold water channels?
I've had a look on bpro and they have the 1 that i need, just wondering if you guys know if it will be available at the local parts store or will they only have the 1 that i already got from them? (which was in a VRS kit to suit a15)
