I know nothing about engines... I will just pull my head in and butt out then... I Was just looking out for Jesse. He is a good guy and I have seen so many people get ripped with there engines, myself included :( even from reputable engine rebuilders dazza

Bahaha "do you use second hand pistons?"

They call it a rebuild because you rebuild the existing engine. When you get your engine rebuilt they don’t replace the entire thing, that’s renewing and replacing not rebuilding. In the instance that a part is worn beyond its useable limits, they are replaced.

Yes, second hand pistons are used again, what’s the big drama. If I forked out money for the full floating flat-top forgies I have each time I rebuilt it, my engine would owe me about AUD$7000.00 in pistons alone.

The pistons, valves, conrods, crank, camshaft, flywheel etc etc aren’t considered as consumables so they aren’t replaced as often or as necessarily as bearings, shims, rings, oiling bars etc etc.

I’ve even re-used second hand bearing shells in the instances that they were still within their tolerances and limits.

You're a dick mate, rebuilt engines often use second hand parts when they're still within tolerance.

for a start your accusing a qualified professional engine reconditioner of "slapping" an engine together.
thats enough to get you a slapping.

a) jesse is happy and engine runs sweet. hes here, and anyone can ask him. as he is a nice kid he also gets all my profesional help and advice.
b) this from a guy with a CA and drum brakes?
c) your an auto sparkie who needed an engine reconditioner to test your CAS and tell you you forgot to fit your earth straps?
d) told jesse A14 was to suit rebuild/repair condition unknown
e) yeah i got some free stuff from jordy and i gave a #OOPS#load of free stuff to jesse too.

stop s#itting on other ppls classifieds in public and you might not get told to shut the f#ck up

i have no problem with talking down a price on an item your gonna buy but you do it person to person

bottom line:....your a tightass bailz

I already apologised as I miss read the post....

And dazza, yeh, what a bargain u sold jesse. U sold him a ca thats been slapped together with parts from another heap of ca's....A coupe thats is no where near roadworthy, the a14 that was in it was pretty fukek along with the other frankensetin #OOPS#....

most of the stuff u got for free, from other members and you sold all the #OOPS# to jesse for $$$.

who got the raw end of the deal?

your just here to stir #OOPS# dazza so fuk off

Thanks mate & I agree.

I ended up selling for a lot less than $330, too.

seem to remember bailz talking down the price on my CA stuff in public here when he wasnt even interested in buying.
comparing a prof rebuilt engine with a second hand wrecking yard one.
estyre bought the whole lot
as for the gears $330 a pair is an awesome price
and again bailz wasnt interested in buying them
there is a time to shut the f#ck up bailz
dazza
