That micra has the mini-sr 1.3 or the CG not the newer CR
impressive. Someone in Aus had a 200+hp boosted one.

Nothing wrong with a brand new Suzuki hatch in India as it means cheap panels for my MK1 Suzuki GTI.
If you really want to be amazed by old cars still in production long after most people saw them new, look no further than Argentina where the old XP falcon was in production well into the 1990's.
They still make bakkies in South Africa dont they so we can still source new 1200 ute bits because of that.
Back on topic when Nissan designed the Micra you would find that emmisions and packaging were more important than power, but you can still get really good power from a Micra done the right way.

Very interesting that the MA is used as a pump over an A series.
Must be a light little jigger!

I rebuilt the top end on a Micra motor. It runs the pump on our fire truck at the track. Had to order the parts from Great Britain. No Nissan dealership here in the states had a clue. I almost just replaced the MA10 motor with an A12. Would have solved a bunch of problems and headaches. But its running now and I ordered extra parts for the next go around.

How true! pity india didnt get them as instead they use the suzuki hatch
(maruti 800) when they could be using B10 as their econo cars.
It surprises me that you can still buy a brand new 80s suzuki hatch
(maruti 800) for 4.3K AUD in India with MPI. Id still rather a B10 anyday.

And the B10 didn't need after market parts because they were a perfect design from the get go.
