I never got fade with the old motor with the bendix, and I always though the same.. Why get anything better but the new pads are in a different league, you cant describe how god they feel.
It's like saying that S13 brakes would do, and for street im sure they would, but at eastern creek your pulling up from 200k's for a 2nd gear corner, you need everything to work really well, lap after lap!!

get the a1rms, will save you money from ultimates anyway! or just call greg at gsl and ask as many qs as you like and make your mind up from there

General Purpose
Heavy Duty
And SRT (Street road track) are available in that shape

SRT are nothing like Ultimates... which as I said... are not available in that shape
SRT will run you $250+ depending where you buy... and I don't believe you need them

I would suggest trying some Lucas pads or the Bendix Heavy Duty (they like to stay warm so swap them back when you drive on the street)

get a set of each and try them on the day. surely you will be allowed to change pads between sessions.

road, track sounds like the old ultimates.

ok so im running bendix db1117. im not sure if thats an ultimate series pad or not?

i tried looking it up but it seems bendix have changed their range of pads to
'street road track' and 'race', which i cant find any feedback or availability info on...

Have you determined your pad shape yet ?

Cause if its small caliper to suit 250mm disc Bendix don't make Ultimates in that shape
So thats not what you have

Maybe find out what your actually using so you have a baseline for suggestion

Greg explained that the A1RM is known as a transfer pad meaning that it transfers itself onto the rotor. The Intima pad material remaining on the rotors was preventing this.

i wondered if that might be the case.... thanks for the feedback
is it becuase the intimas leave a layer of pad material on the disc? or just becuase they wont bed in on a used disc?

i dont plan on machining my discs this time round so maybe i'll stick with the bendix pad i have
ill have to pull them out and get the part number off them.. ive got a hunch they might be ultimates though...
