Hi Ron, glad to hear you were able to get it. That is consistent with the story I hear from Datsun people all across the country, and my own experience: parts that are NLA can be still be purchased at Nissan sometimes. A good parts man at the local Nissan dealer (or using a different dealer) makes a difference. Sometimes the parts come from Japan and sometimes from another dealer who had them sitting on a shelf.

I an just ammazed... I now have in my hand an original nissan hood release cable for my 72 1200. I picked it up from the local Nissan dealer.

Even though the part showed NAL, the nice parts guy ordered it anyway. He was then told again by Nissan that it wasn't available. But yesterday, out of the blue, it arrived.

I feel like it's Christmas morning. :)

You can buy both parts from B-Projects. Many of us, including myself, have bought mail-order from B-Projects.

Looking for Assistance with Parts that are No Longer Available from Nissan.

Anyone have any ideas where I can get these parts? Using the dealers on-line parts ordering system, these were shown as available. I was just notified: "Order number 27249179 has been cancelled. Order canceled and refunded. Parts out of production from Nissan. Thank You for choosing www.Mynissanparts.com"
