Sounds like the ticket! just hope enough meat.
Still would love 1988cc as honing and new oversize
piston come close to sleeving prices and I already
have the z22e pistons from an engine.

y use a ca16? 78mm bore x 83.6mm stroke
ca18 83mm bore x 83.6 stroke square motor revs well
ca16 crank would be to light to balance oversize pistons
u would need to use malory metal to add weight to crank($$$$)
ca18 crank would have maybe enough weight to balance up?
have u thort about a ca20 crank in ca18 block?

A ca16 with 1988cc will spool a vf34 correctly.
I got the low km ball bearing from a subaru STI 2 ltr.
It beats buying a billet stroker kit as its cheaper
to sleeve with shorter stock stroke revvs better.
I got quoted 500aud for 4 sleeves including honing
all ready for assembly. I have z22e pistons that can be
milled 2mm and z18et sodium filled exhaust valves.

Does anyone know the minimum required sleeve thickness for a boosted application?
eg. can I get away with 3mm thick sleeves.

Ive measured 8mm spacing on the ca18de block and 13mm spacing on the ca16de
block between bores and some forums suggest 84mm is the largest safe bore size.
http://forums.nicoclub.com/max-bore-diameter-on-a-ca-t475569.html
However 84mm would mean only 6mm are left between each bores.

I would like 87mm bores but would mean I need to offset 1 and 4 outwards
for 2 and 3 to make that size.
