paid more than that for it.

have a quick search on google about dry carbon and how its processed compared to the "normal" wet carbon fibre as thats where the costs differ.

Quote:
Dry vs. wet involves completely different processes of manufacturing. You can find extensive articles about the details on the web if you do a general search. As for pros and cons, here is a brief summary: Simply put, dry carbon is for RACE USAGE so you get the most strength and save the most weight. The weaves and quality are more consistent, but they are generally 3 to 4 times more expensive than wet carbon. Wet carbon products are hand-laid, and are more prone to small defects like wavy weaves and tiny bubbles. They do not save as much weight as their dry carbon counterparts. But on the plus side, you get an incredible combination of visual attraction, weight-reduction, and most importantly, price. All products you see on our website are wet carbon. Wet carbon products are also the most popular and most commonly referred to as just "carbon fiber" .
thats from seibon website that sells wet carbon car parts

cheers

pretty much any rocker cover gasket will do. As D said gasket silicone will work if you follow the instructions. It's wide and flat so should be easy.

Nice rocker cover by the way. By not cheap are you talking 200 ish, 400 ish ?

I'd reckon a rubber or standard cork would work fine, so long as it's softer than the two parts it's sealing which I'd reckon it would be.

Any one considered making a carbon fibre or glass fibre (GFRP) custom rocker cover, it is possible to chrome plate them. That would surely work out easier and cheaper. Not to discourage of course. Interested to see the product!

hey lamb_daiquiri,

Its possible as i'm awaiting for a dry carbon rocker cover i bought from japan for the a series.Wouldn't say it was cheap. But what material gasket would one use with a dry carbon rocker cover ?
The cover is using an L series cap hole.

cheers
