Have you used a relay between the turbo timer and the handbrake?
Using a relay would negate any potential issues with this light "if" the handbrake is involved.

I have wired a turbo timer to the handbrake wire now that you mention it!

Could this give the "false" reading? I might turn off the turbo timer and see if that helps.

On the other hand, if the T.timer is causing it, then I'll have to live with the brake light being on (unless I can sort some sort of way around it).

I'd check the handbrake wire.

Thats what I was going to do - leave them unplugged but the damn light is still on lol.

I need to start checking the wiring harness I think.

The brake light switch is always hot from IGN
The fluid-level switches ground it.
Also the hand-brake switch grounds it.

Jumper will cause the light to come on. Instead, leave the switches disconnected.

Yes, there are wiring diagrams in the Nissan factory service manuals.

The B310 brake proportioning valve (NP Valve) doesn't have an electrical switch. Some B110s with optional tandem master had a brake pressure differential switch which causes the light to activate (my 1200 has this).

Hi,

In my B310 sunny I've bled the brakes and they work fine plus the 2 master cylinder resivors are topped up and the brake warning light is always on!?

My car only has the float switches in the resivour caps (no proportioning valve switch). So I've unpluged the float switch caps from the wiring and the light still is on. Then I put a jumper between the 2 bullet connectors and the brake light is still on?

How does this light work? Do the float switches complete the circuit and allow power to the light? Or does it short to ground when there is low fluid? any wiring diagrams about?

The brakes work fine but it just doesnt look right when the brake light is on.
