Yes, the black circle is the air bleed. The red circle is the slow jet.

Some A15 come with DCH-306 and some A15 come with DCF-306. Your carburetor is neither of those, but is similar to the DCH-306.

Fine tune it using the air bleeds, instead of the jet. See what that does.

You can order the jets and air bleeds from Nissan.

hi thanks yer the car runs fine now with the 136 jet in the primary main. i got this from my old carb secondary main, as the primary size 96 made it worse!

do you know were i might be able to get some hitachi jets so i can fine tune it?

Thanks!

I think not. Each carburetor company has their own way of rating jet sizes. Further, some flow-test the jets then stamp them (accurate) but others just stamp them without actually testing (less precise where both a 128 and a 130 might actually work the same).

So a Solex #125 might be the same as a Hitachi #130 or maybe even a Holley #120 -- who knows? Nominally the numbers indicate the diameter of the drilled hole, but hole shape and design can have a huge effect on the actual flow.

First, get the carburetor running well. Don't worry about it being overrich, unless that causes it to run poorly. As stated, A15 jets are fine for A12 engine.

Finally, after you get it running well, you can then fine tune it by using different size jet. That's your last step. I would suggest trying the jets out of your old A12 carburetor to see if they are an improvement over the jets in the new carburetor. Remember to swap both the air jets and main jets. They work in combination.

I think that size is good if it drives good. 101 is too small from the way it was driving.

It all depends on how the carburetor is designed. They may use un-flowed jets, and the air jets may be a different size. Main jet alone means nothing without the air jet combination.

It the china carburetor intended to use genuine Hitachi jets? You can get them from your old carburetor.
