The ball joint is connected to the steering knuckle. The knuckle is connected to the strut.

the balljoint doesnt actually go into the strut to begin with. the sunny balljoint will go into late 1200 ute steering arms (the bit that bolts to the bottom of the strut) and will bolt to the control arm and will give an 8-10mm track increase either side of the car

Will not work with early 1200 steering arms or control arms
