hell yeah, recently in ballarat i think a dude dug a 156oz lump of quartz that contained 76oz of gold.
a cool $120000 worth.
lots to be had,90% of it would be small gram or so bits.

Found a lot of gold with a groundhog but haven't picked up a detector in over twenty years, is there still gold being found?

Metal detecting is my hobby, especially I love beach metal detecting myself! I have recently purchased CS3 MX. As it was a budget machine i did not expect it to be so good, but it is really powerful, and within ten minutes, I had found two coins in very damp sand at about eight inches depth.

My old man spent a fortune back in the late 70s and
early 80s buying the latest detectors money could get.
My brother and I found a bracelet at a park when playing
in the sand pit in 1976 and was worth over 6k back then
in gold and precious stones. It was just outside a
Greek Orthodox church full of Bling bling Grannies and
Dad never found anything better than we did.
Well except for the cat cigars :)
