check if your fuel filter is clogged and if you're getting enough pressure

I have put and new coil, points and plugs. I have swapped carbys and still no change. Still runs for 5 seconds idealing then cuts out revving the car won't do anything?

Sorry mate didnt read your post correctly, gotta be a fuel or spark related issue.

sounds like something to do with the pionts or coil ,it cost me $19 for a set of pionts ,rotor button ,cap .and condensor

mine used to play up around 2 to 3 thousand rpm and it turned out to be the pionts

check the cheap stuff first ,and the antideiseling valve ,it could be jamming half way in the little hole

was it running fine before? or is it the first time starting, could be timing is out

if it was the anti-dieselling solenoid it wouldn't idle but would still rev!

Do you mean it idles for about 5 seconds or are you trying to rev it aswell?
Just thinking it might be the anti dieselling solonoid.

ild say the coil is rooted go buy a new coil,point,rotor cap,dizzy cap cost about 60 bucks for the lot then you know all thats good and if it doesnt work could only be fuel pump, fuel filter

These things can go on for ever basics to check are fuel air and spark. The more you rule out is easier it'll get. I'd check next

Just needing some help i was driving it the other day when it started to cough and cut out when i started it back up i had my foot flat to the floor and the motor wouldnt rev. It now starts and runs for 5 seconds but very rough. i have check ignition spark carby. I havent had the car for long so not to sure on what it is can some one help me out??
