The real level of oil won't change. The dipstick measures the correct level relatively to the crankshaft, so it is independent oil oil sump shape.

The oil capacity depends on how big a a sump you weld to the alloy pan.

The Datsun Cherry 1971-1975 has an alloy pan. Cut off the superdeep sump and weld on your choice of sump-box to make a wider, shallower sump.

Dave I have an extra dry sump pan that I contemplated doing that with...........how much does that increase the oil capacity?

take one nissan cherry E10 oil pan,
cut the deep sump
weld on a wide sump
