Phantom grip is a brand. A spring loaded locker is what the center is.

1200coupe, I recently re-read the old discussions, and came to the conclusion that "spring-loaded locker" is significantly different than a "spring-loaded LSD" like the Phantom Grip. They only look similar on the outside.

But people in this discussion seem to be talking about both kinds as if they are the same.

That sounds like Phantom Grip. So what's the difference betweeen spring-loaded Locker and spring-loaded LSD (ph-g)?

They don't fully Lock as such DD.
They behave more like an LSD that isn't real tight.

Unless you are drag racing, isn't an LSD better than a Locker?

Im sure he wouldnt mind a spin to see how a supercharged setup goes and maybe get him convinced NA A series setups are too expensive and too much work to make power :)

I can't get them made anymore. Not unless dad gets another job where they have a surface grinder and a mill.
Postage for just the nugget wouldn't be too bad. If you wanted just the springs, that I could do. I think Don is here tommorrow, I don't think he'd mind taking back a set of springs.

But they are $450 here installed into diff center all machining etc? 300 plus post and what ever else not worth it. Might be cheaper for h145 etc.
