Yes, changing out parts is not the way to find the problem. It's easier to test the solenoid valve than to change it.

Have you check all the fuel line connections? Clamps are tight?
"
All the fuel connections are good and all clamps are tight but, I noticed there are cracks in some of the lines so I am going to change them out.

could be the anti dieseling solenoid in the side of carb as shown in picture. i had an issue with it wanting to stall randomly and traced it down to that.

So, I changed out solenoid but it still does it. Maybe the wire going to it can be the problem? I still need to do all these other great suggestions but I want as much info as I can get so when I go to check it out I can do them all:)

FYI all you guys, thank you so much for the help!

There are many things that can cause your symptoms. But it is less likely to be electrical (or it would be more erratic), and more likely to be fuel related.

Did it start occuring about the time you replaced the fuel filter? Or what else changed around that time it first started happening?
"
I changed the filter when this started. Great point! I was not driving my truck when it happened but I will follow up with my employee and get back with you:) Thank you man! "Always check to make sure the tv is plugged in before you go taking it apart;)" Right?

You can easily test that theory. By disconnect the idle-cut solenoid internally. See anti-diesel valve.

i had the exact same problem a few years ago and it turned out to be bad wiring to my battery GND terminals (or 12V) cant remember. Either way it confused me a lot until i actually traced it all from the battery to its relative places and found some crap wiring. Upon repairing, the beast was perfect again.

edit: with my problem, obviously, the entire 12v rail would be gone. everything would cut out, incl the engine.. lights, dash lights everything..
"

I will follow wiring to see if that will do the trick. The wiring around the battery looks bad. When you say everything would cut out do you mean it would totally die? My motor keeps going like it going to stall but then it goes right back to normal. I don't need to restart. Let me know please:)

when your engine stall, try to touch your ignition coil. it shouldn't be hot. if it is hot or very warm, replace it.
"
I will do that:) Thanks!

Could that cause this problem? It never totally dies out. It just sputters then goes right back up to the rpm's I set it at.
