no dd, they are called corolla GTS in here to, trueno ones are japs. we have lots and lots of imported parts from japan in dominican republic so jap used parts are very common in here i just buyed my self a complete RHD swap from a half cutted japanese 1200 ute

Yes, it's wider and so requires wheels with more offset than stock (or huge flares).

Stock 1200 axle uses positive offset wheels too.

Thanks mpower, so definitely not a bolt-in, but a typical swap scenario with all the usual swap modifications.

I didn't know they badged them as Trueno is the americas. They sold them as Corolla GTS in usa.

i have a trueno lsd diff on my ute, it has disc brakes too, you have to cut all the suports on it and weld the 1200 suports so it can fit on the leaf spring, you need the rear part of the drive shaft and positive offset rims

It brings up some good questions. The AE88 axle has been swapped in to some 1200 along with a TRD LSD and disk brakes, but it's not as easy as it sounds.

good idea, but most AE86 were not LSD and since they are coil sprung it cannot be a bolt-in. The original poster may have meant it was narrow enough to fit under the 1200.
