This might be far out but if you're hard up for space you could consider an array of 120mmx120mm cooling fans, you can cover the whole radiator then but it's probably heaps of piissing around. They are pretty thin though and available in 12V.

They madE in aus still?

I bought mine from the USA mate. I assumed they were made there.

I had one 12" and one 10" Davies Craig fans on my car and I was never happy with them at idle. I swapped to a 9" and a 10" SPAL and the car has no issue staying cool idling in the middle of summer now. Plus they are quieter.

They aren't much dearer than buying the cheaper branded fans if you buy them directly from their US website.

SPAL is the best of the best. i just bought 6 from the U.S. for $466.61. (12") Dad also uses them on his trawler and runs two 24/7 for about 2 years now and one just died.

alittle bit more expensive but well worth the money for quality.

I stuffed around for years with Davies Craig and other cheaper brands of fans with unsatisfactory results. 18 months ago I bit the bullet and bought a couple of SPAL fans directly from their US website. Cost was under $300 for both delivered and they are by far the best fans I have ever used on any car.

louix: 79$ AUD seems toooo cheap! i have learnt the hard way that you should get the Davies Craig brand, not a cheaper imitation. Im using 1 x 10" on my N14 radiator and it works well. Its pulling air not pushing.
if however the one you are talking about is a Davies Craig, please tell me which shop it is so I can grab one! thx
