suggest take the whole strut to a suspension mechanic, let them look at it and tell you what shock they can get you for desired height and prices, etc, etc.

what do you guys think of these?
they don't have helper springs like the otomoto ones but they're cheaper and come in any kg. And i can order shocks form them for cheap too and shipping isn't that bad either.

There are 2.25lbs in a kilo ... at 225lbs... that would be 100kg which is way off if the previous reply of 6kg is correct.

my guess is shorten the body to the insert so you have enough suspension travel so it doesn't bottom out.

So would you shorten the strut body say 50mm or do you get the insert and shorten the body to suit the new insert?
