Really need one of those manifolds as there is nothing similar that I know of available here, (unless someone else does.)
The Bufalo manifolds are not made any more which was close but sits out a bit too far for my application (not in a Datsun 1200) and my fabrication skills dont quite match up to the finish and quality Im after on this second build.

The W transmission is more available than the T here. They were likely pulled out the the SR5 labeled Toyota in the USA

Dellow have an off the shelf bellhousing for W50 to A series
I think they have it as a repower option on a Hiace when people stick an A in them from memory
The W55 is completely different and they don't have those

I'm interested in the gearbox conversion.

Did Jeff machine the T50 Bell Housing differently to suit the W50? I guess he could if the casting was close enough.
Did you have to send any parts to his shop?
Did you get the tail shaft done locally after you had all the other bits?

I have a W55 or similar that I picked up and hoarded years ago with the thought of fitting to the A15. Never got around to investigating further....

The W50 - Toyota Steelcase can be found nearly anywhere here in aus as there were used behind so many holdens, fords, chryslers ect with 6 or v8 they cheap to get your hands on much easier to find and use then a crappy t50, albeit alot cheaper then a T50 as well cause they are so readily available

Strong boxes, dellow conversions sorted out the bellhousing for me and we used a holden W series clutch fork that is cut down as they very long and welded. The bearing carrier was machined for the thurst bearing

The bellhousing, pivot ball, speedo gear, clutch fork, gaskets, weld on yolk, uni joint, slip joint ect cost me $1700 from dellow jeff is a great bloke and was always willing to help out.
