Thanks for the install pic Michael. That's probably not a bad spot, as fairly close to the Throttle body, just need to run a hardline from petrol tank.

I've got an original 1200 ute carbon canister, but it doesn't seem to have a base on it (don't know if it's missing or supposed to be like this). They were fitted to the passenger side strut tower on the later model utes, but I've used that space for air filter and intercooler piping. Might follow your lead on this one.

I had a poke around in my collection of workshop PDFs:

This should help.

dunno now... i'm reffering to the 13mm hose from the bottom of the canister, earlier posts recommend it goe to atmo,

the only reference i have found elsewhere says it goes to the chassis rail.... not sure what that means....

installed today, not plumbed in yet,

does the vent to atmo need an air filter? or is that only for purging out?

this one is from a CA18DE, do i need anything extra becuase im using on CA18DET.... i.e. will boost be a problem?

between drivers headlight and intercooler looks possible for me, tempted to put it there because its easy,

under guard is super neat but i think its likely to be a temporary install so im not going to too much trouble

Have you decided where your going to mount it? I saw what Tommo did with his but I'm interested to get some other ideas.
