Bad:
Engine was rebuilt using silastic sealant on the sump and rocker cover gaskets. The sump was removed and a modified one was fitted (along with a modified pickup tube assembly). The engine was running fine but developed a heavy ticking sound toward the rear of the engine. Possible cause may be a blocked oil gallery in the crank caused by some wayward silastic which has caused a conrod bearing to wear out OR the modified sump and pickup were starved of oil momentarily during the run. The motor was idled and shut down around 2min after it developed the noise, so damage should be limited. I contacted the engine builder who built the engine and the conrod bearing caps were not re-tensioned after the run in period. I haven't pulled the engine to pieces to search for the actual cause of the noise, so it may not even be any of those symptoms at all.

Regarding bolt ons, engine will come with regraphed points dizzy and modified standard intake manifold (modified to fit weber DGV or similar). No carby, alternator, or exhaust manifold.

Bad:
When motor was separated from box, clutch was removed and engine put on engine stand. Clutch/friction fibre plate was left on top of the car and fell off when it was lifted up on a hoist. No big deal, just means you need to get a new clutch kit.
Engine makes a noise while it is running. It is not an alternator issue or vacuum leak. It could be a loose/worn timing chain, oil pump or distributor gear, or even maybe just the starter motor gear not disengaging properly?. Again, I havent got time to pull the engine down to investigate.
Engine blows some smoke so requires either new valve stem seals and/or piston rings, other than that it ran fine
Comes with intake manifold and standard points distributor. Does not come with exhaust manifold, carby, clutch, or alternator.
