Good choice Datman - this is a great time to be a kiwi in Ausdraya - you a cricket fan too? The big cost here is rego - once you get rego, pink/blue slip, green slip and insurance you're
looking at close to a g and that's outside your car purchase. Anything cheap is normally unregoed. To get yourself behind the wheel of a cheap A series you're probably gonna have to go down
the 120Y road or to the N10 Pulsar (A14S). 1200 coupes and sedans still command good money here - compared with NZ prices anyway. Before you come over check out www.tradingpost.com.au for a
good indication of NSW prices. A word of warning - if you are ever driving here and on the road see a rather homely baby blue Sunny Wagon with Lunc's Lectrical Fusion Repairs on the side
then avoid eye contact with the driver.

On Friday I'm flying in to Sydney and then heading to the Hunter Valley to work for a couple of months. I've never been to NSW, and I was just wondering if you can pick up cheap cars there. In
NZ you can pick up a road legal runner for a couple of hundred bucks but that's mainly because used jap imports have dragged down the price of old cars over here to virtually nothing. I know
you guys don't have the same situation over there though.

What sort of coin are we looking at for a less than pristine but road-going 1200 over there? It would be a good way for me to travel around a bit. Of course I don't have to buy a Datsun but
the old A-series Datsuns are pretty bulletproof and run on the smell of an oily rag.
