Hammer tone is a product a lot of people spray there trailers in and I've seen sills done is a similar finish! I'm quite shore you can get it coloured!

i'm not sure what the best way to paint it would be, but i just painted mine as per the rest of the car (acrylic and clear coat) and it tends to get little chips in it a fair bit. I would recommend investigating some sort of chip resistant paint that can be colour matched to the rest of the car, i forget what its called but there is a textured paint people tend to paint their sills with, i wish i sued something like that on mine

unless your just gonna rattle can it black.. but then i'm not sure why you would buy it in the first place
