What flywheel for A15 with 5spd?
Use an A15 flywheel. Which is the same part number as the A14 flywheel. Exactly the same. Or you could use an A12 flywheel, but they are thinner, so you'd need to change your spacer or release bearing carrier.

ive noticed the starter has been chewing out the ring gear
That is caused by 1) bad starter gear or 2) bad ring gear or 3) misaligned starter. The last is caused by an incorrectly machined transmission, which is pretty rare for a Datsun.

If its the genuine a15 flywheel then remove it and put an a12 flywheel on it ,much lighter and still the same size clutch

I'm running an a12 flywheel that has been gutted and its still reasonable in traffic with a heavy clutch

As title states i have a A15 bolted to a 5 speed , ive noticed the starter has been chewing out the ring gear on the flywheel.
I need a new clutch so want a lightened flywheel too at the same time but what size is appropriate with this box?
