I came across this Lysholm screw charger for sale. It's the blower that the IHI unit is suposed to be based on. People refer the the map for this blower, for the IHI number. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-p ... bos/auction-486311389.htm

Bart do you think a 70 degree angle should still be fine for oil drainage
into the dizzie hole or best leave at 45 degree max?

Or both!
Screw chargers can pump more boost with less heat that roots blowers.

nah, high psi is for high HP. The outlaw racers were running their 5.0s at 40 psi with superchargering and that was 10 years ago. But of course the engine needs to be super strong even to power the blower, let alone handle the boost that comes out of it. I read something like the blower takes 200 HP to drive!

With 9.5 you could go higher boost than 5 psi -- but fit an aftercooler or use water injection.

I always thought that high psi was for turbos. Ive kept my supercharger at 5 psi. With a 9.5 to 1 compression motor i may stick to 5. Any coments?

I haven't taken mine apart yet Dave, but I was thinking of completely flagging the rearmost section at the intake end, and having a flange laser cut. Then a mandrel bend curving around to the TB and AFM.
I cant do jack to ine till me engine is actually mounted, and I've had my silvia headers altered to clear the idler arm pocket. I can't even begin to start mounting the blower, and figuring out all the plumbing untill then.
A mate has an SC14 on a CA in a KB110. He makes 200rwhp on 9 pound. (And lots of torque too) so screw blown engine should go heaps harder. (Plus I plan to run 14psi to start with as well)

I was thinking of running a shaft along length of the engine on the drivers side with two brackets supporting it with two bearings then mounting the SC so the pulley runs off the back of this shaft from a serpentine belt then the front will have the carby facing forward and the shaft runs off a serpentine attachment brazed onto the crank pulley.

Id have to get rid of the dizzie and run megajolt junior, electric
fuel pump & alternator on other side like on early A series.
Then cross over pipe to the other side for the inlet manifold.
Oil drain direct into dizzie hole, pressure from filter fitting.
A 78mm bored A15 should be a monster setup with one of these.

Just need to tap some brass connectors for oil pressure and oil drain
then widen my 50.8mm SU to 60mm for extra juice and air
