If someone started on making a cast oval port manifold in the same design but to suit the latest nissan micra engine HR12DDR supercharger unit it would match A12-A15 perfectly.

http://green.autoblog.com/2010/07/19/ ... three-cylinder-for-micra/

Those SC should become available from jap importers soon enough and available in time when such a manifold becomes available.

Could also suit a common AMR500 with different outlet bolt up holes already made into the design.

I'm sure the pop-off valve could be modified to go to an external pipe without too much trouble. man 6 grand for a kit? I'mn just imagining that you could afford a good turbo setup and then have a few grand left over to build the engine for that. I suppose if you've got the money and you want S/C bad enough then go ahead and do it ;)

most superchargers have a pop off valve otherwise the backfire can turn from deflagration (a quick but controlled burn, just like normal engine combustion, and even in a firearm) - as pressures spike, into a full strength 'detonation' (a much more rapid and violent burn that will do significant damage)

FWIW there's been similar options (albeit with lysholm type compressors) to supercharge the mini a-series and bmc b series engines - done by 'link automotive' and 'hi performance products' (who are in the same street - thornton crescent in mitcham - or were the last time I looked)

They were around $5-6000 in the late 90's - no idea their price now. That was a full kit - charger, pulleys/tensioner/belt, intake manifold and SU carb (hif type iirc)

Im using a custom manifold I should finish it soon, it will have the manifold, amr500 and su all inline and angled 15 or 20 degrees to avoid puddling and consequently backfiring

So the Anti-backfire valve is designed for blow-through, right? Using it as above is a kind of mistake?

D, you are planning on using the AMR500, can it be setup like this integrated with a manifold and SU?
