AS far as I can work out, it didn't sell on ebay (I didn't bid on it personally, because the above issues might have ruled the sale out anyway, so I held off from bidding, in case you replied here about it) - but on the chance it is still availabe:
I'm not sure how you are getting to Adelaide (as per the added info on the ebay advertisement) - but is there any chance you are driving there? And if so, when.
Reason i ask is that according to google maps, the route to Adelaide (shorter distance not necessarily best/highest average speed highways etc) will take you through, or at least passing very close to Mildura in Victoria.
And the reason I bring this up is that I'm heading to Mildura next weekend (sep 15th) to pick up a gearbox (also purchased through this forum!). So maybe, just maybe, I could meet with you in Mildura to do a 'hostage swap'. If need be I could juggle things, arriving very early on the saturday, or alternatively I could forseeable stick around in Mildura after picking up the gearbox, until you passed through later in the day, or even juggle it and be up there on sunday instead??
I realise that it is a long shot, but it can't hurt to ask.

Two quick questions - to both the seller and anyone else reading this thread.
1. - are there any canberra based forum members out there who would be able to collect this engine/loom for me and store it for approx 2 months (I'm heading up north all the way to datsandy's place over the melbourne cup long weekend (unless some major catastrophe/ work issue comes up in which case it'd be late december at the end of year break) ??? Obviously I wouldn't expect anyone to collect and store it for free, so I'd be open to working out a deal that is fair to you for going to such effort).
2, being that it is friday night, I wouldn't be able to do a bank transfer until monday - but the money would be able to be withdrawn the same day (as long as it's a bank with branches in melbourne, I can put a cash deposit in to a local branch and it will clear the same day. If there are no branches down here it'd take a week (roughly) to clear,
So bearing that money transfer issue in mind - and on the basis someone else here could collect and hold onto the motor for a couple of months) - would you be ok with the sale going ahead?
If needed, I can provide a list of people I have dealt with on here recently, who can vouch for the fact I pay money when I say i will and all that.
Feel free to PM me if you'd rather discuss details and see if it is viable and so forth outside of the public access forum areas

Hi All,
I have a standard uncracked CA18 incuding Loom and standard computer (although the computer left in a box today, so I will have to post it back to buyer).
I need to have this sold and picked up by the end of this weekend.
I figure its worth $500, and thats cheap. The flywheel is there, but no gearbox.
Thanks for looking
Andrew
