No the manifold doesn't have a gasket there. The exhaust pipe has a metal ring that forms the gasket.

i would think so, surely there would be a slow leak losing pressure?? :S...have u checked tech wiki??
i know usually the exhaust flanges have metal coated with some other carbon stuff or something...
