Did yours (with the bad coil) run fine at higher speeds? I'm working on a car today that bogs down taking off from idle, but runs good otherwise.

So it had the same symptoms with the original Hitachi? And now with a Weber it does the same thing?

Check your wiring inside distributor as well. Had that once, took a while to find it as it seems to be intermittend.

i dont think its a fuel issue, i recently replaced all the lines, and put a new filter, and a weber 32/36. im thinking it might be a bad coil, im going to try the one from my dad's 620 tommorow.

Hi M, It seems to be a common issue, (my personal opinion)as my A15 wil run fine then out of nowhere it will start to stutter as if some blockage in the fuel line. I have cleaned my fueltank and fuel lines, but it still persisted. In the process of overhauling the engine, dropping CR and fitting weber 36 dcd 7 in the meanwhile. What seemed to help at stages was to let the revs pick up to about 5000rpm a couple of times( as if to clear its throat) then mine went fine again for 100-150 km. really odd! good luck
