1981-1985 dash looms are probably exactly the same.
1978-1980 dash looms are probably very close

If you also need the engine loom, 1974-1985 are similar. I'm not sure when they added electric choke.

all good ideas but its not like that in my case...!
its not electric fan so not that,
check ignition switch with the sedan one i have here as well, and ain't that!
horn and fog lights were running off the battery and was relayed off the lights accessories power, but if horn is connected, it will continuously be going off if i start the car...!!!
when i mean this wiring is bad i mean BAD...!!!!
last owner just tapped into any wire that had accessory power or constant power... he didn't care what wire it was he just tapped into it...
thankyou for your ideas but i psted another topic in classifields to see if anyone has got a complete 1984 ute loom that i could buy..
i just think my best bet will be to start fresh

This is likely bad earths and incorrectly wired thermo fans.
Start by disconnecting thermo fans. and in your driveway, see if any of the symptoms disappear.

On the problem with the power staying on with the switch off, I would go after the ignition switch itself as something might be amiss inside. It won't explain the horn/headlight problem, but that problem could be related to alarm wiring.

hey guys,
have been having trouble with the really bad electrical problems with my ute...
was wondering if anyone have sent their loom into maddat to get re-wired and sent back...
or is this just for ca / sr loom work only

my Ute shorts out from horn / wipers / and maybe lights, also will have an occasion to decide to leave power running to all electrical with the ignition turn on OFF...!!!
also if horn is connected and you turn lights ON the horn is ON as well...

got to love dodgy electricians work...also a big TY to audio car excellents for your #OOPS# alarm system and headaches!!!
by these two idiots combined i announce them F%*KED UP
