I hear you on the brakes, I finally put the bigger wheel cylinders in my car to bring the brake balance back........same issue as you were having.....just before turning in you'd have to wait just a split second, car rotates much better.

I also played with the rake, albeit several years ago and ended up going back to the original set-up.

I bought it from the Good Guys. Its a Contour Roam. They were on special for about $190. The roll cage mount kit was extra.
Very easy to use and download. The footage you have watched is on the lowest resolution.

Im very happy with it.

Cheers Tom,

The reservoirs are a bit distracting in the video! Maybe i should put a couple of diagonal lines on them showing .5, 1 and 1.5 G!

I was running 2mm out at the front and 2mm in on the rear.
It doesnt have any noticable understeer, so i`ll go up in the front bar rate a bit to start with.
The other thing i have done since the last outing is drop the rear ride height(less rake angle). This is probably effecting the aero ballance a bit too.
I may try dropping rear pressures now too, thanks.
I was stuffing up my lines into a couple of corners consistantly. I`ll be better next time.

The rear brakes also need some love. I had the balance bar set all the way to the rear but still not enough rear brake.

Youre spot on, the Philip Island circuit is fantastic! The best in the country except for maybe Bathurst.

Cheers

Simon,

First my wife the artist said very nice video.

Next I love the G-meters on the dasd, I.E. the fluid tilting in the reservoirs.

As for the oversteer, definitely playing catcha-car. Mine was doing the same thing and just for the hell of it I dropped the rears 1 psi, it settled it down just enough. Out of curiosity what is the toe set at and can you adjust the rebound on the rear shocks. A darty car is easy enough to deal with but it doesn't seem consistent ...........corner entrances seemed to be mixed bag........although it sounded like someone hit you up the arse on one of the bigger moments. For sure in the long sweepers you were having to wait.

Great video, great driving..............looks like fun track, Philip Island looks awesome..........in this years MotoGP final I was (as was everyone) blown away by Stoners huge two wheel drifts in the fast right hander..............having now seen it in-car, it's even more awesome.

Simon, whats your thoughts on the cause of high speed oversteer? Is it set up, tyres going off or boost coming in viciously ?
I've looked at the vid a couple of times and its almost as if the car is going off as the race progresses ie really strong start then you seem to fall away or is it the competition coming on stronger? Either way its insanely fast and a wee bit more refinement will make it an absolute weapon...

@ 3.41 ummmn bugger you sure lost loads of time with correcting it, can only imagine if you had good grip what your time could have been!

Chooie no longer on these boards? Would be good to hear his side of going to a more stable handling car, can only imagine if the sr20ve was an sr12ve turbo :)
